It’s always good to see our dawg MAVI when he comes to town. MAVI the Mayor has earned his mayor title, representing Charlotte, North Carolina, he has proven to his listeners there’s more than J. Cole that comes from North Carolina. I find it impressive he recorded his debut project, Let The Sun Talk, while a freshman at Howard as a neuroscience major. His high level of intelligence transfers over to his razor-sharp lyrics. MAVI's strength is he's able to get vulnerable in his music, connecting to his audience more than the average artist. MAVI raps circles around your favorite rapper. His latest project Laughing So Hard It Hurts, has been met with critical acclaim by music critics. We knew the project was special when he played it for us in the store. He's been on a campaign flexing his rap muscles across the nation touring with Jack Harlow and Babyface Ray. We are looking forward to his future projects and success.
